CAN YOU PACK MY STUFF OR DOES IT HAVE TO BE PRE-PACKED?

We are happy to pack for you. Be sure to tell us prior to the move to ensure efficiency. To minimize costs, customers have the option to pack their belongings ahead of time.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY MOVE IS BOOKED?

If you’re having MSJ Delivery pack your stuff, you don’t have to worry about a thing. If you’re packing your own things, have it done in advance so our movers can move as efficiently as possible. Our staff will call you the day prior as a reminder call and provide you the name of the lead driver for the day of the move. On the day of the move, our lead driver will call you 20-30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.

WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT OPTIONS?

We accept all major credit cards, cash and money orders as well as certified checks.

CAN I PACK MY CHINA, GLASS AND CRYSTAL?

Most people prefer to have their household possessions, especially fragile items, professionally packed by MSJ Delivery. However, if you decide to pack these items yourself, remember that the basic principles of good packing include wrapping the items individually, providing plenty of cushioning and making sure items are firmly packed. Be sure to select sturdy containers lids. Place a two- or three-inch layer of crushed paper on the bottom of the carton as a cushion. Wrap items individually with soft material to provide a safe, protective, “padded nest.” Pack the heaviest items on the bottom and the lighter ones next, filling in empty spaces with crushed paper. Place plates on edge and glassware on rims for maximum protection. Mark the carton “Fragile,” and list the contents on the outside. Be sure to seal the carton with tape. Cartons, paper and tape, and bubble wrap may be purchased from MSJ Delivery for a small fee. Please ask our MSJ representative about a free packing materials delivery.

CAN I PACK MY CLOTHES IN A CHEST OR DRESSER DRAWERS?

Lightweight clothing – sweaters, shirts, blouses, and lingerie – may be left in the drawers. Do not fill drawers with heavy items such as books, table linens or sheets, which can damage the piece of furniture during transit. Be careful NOT to leave fragile items, money, jewelry, watches or other valuables in the drawers, as well as anything that might spill or leak.

ARE THERE ANY ITEMS THAT SHOULD NOT BE PACKED?

Before your things are packed and loaded, please take some time to look over the items that we cannot put on a truck or in a container. Hazardous and perishable materials are not allowed. And, although they are allowable, we recommend that you keep sentimental or personally important items with you.

YOUR HOME IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION OR A REMODEL. WHAT ARE YOUR OPTIONS FOR STORING YOUR ITEMS?

MSJ Delivery provides storage options based on your needs. Our 24/7 secure on-site storage is available short or long term for your convenience. This alleviates the stress of dealing with what to do with your home items during the leasing, closing, remodeling, construction or travel period. We are happy to assist with packing if this is required. Your furniture and household items will be picked up by our reliable team and safely stored. We ensure the safety of your possessions until you are ready for them. Our moving service crew will retrieve your items and delivery when and where you decide. Self-delivery and self-retrieval of your items is also an option. We’re happy to discuss your a plan to make this transition time as stress-free as possible.

MY MOVING DATE CHANGED! NOW WHAT?

MSJ Delivery understands that sometimes dates shift based on home closing, new home construction or remodel delays. When you first learn that your moving date has changed, give us a call and we’ll work with you to reschedule your moving dates based on availability.
